GSK sets aside $400M for possible settlement

GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) is preparing to settle an ongoing investigation into the company’s marketing and promotional practices for nine of its best-selling products between 1997 and 2004.

GSK announced in a January 29 press release that it was recording a legal charge of $400 million for the fourth quarter of 2008 in relation to the investigation.
